Firefighter paramedics responded to a shark attack near Santa Barbara Saturday.
Ventura County Fire Department personnel flew via Coast Guard helicopter to Santa Rosa Island to respond to the victim, the department said.
The victim was bitten on the leg. They were flown on the helicopter to a hospital in Santa Barbara.
The extent of the victim’s injuries is not yet known.
