SFPD asks public to avoid two areas due to police activity

Officials are asking the public to avoid the area near Pier 39 in San Francisco due to police activity.

The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management tweeted Sunday evening, asking the public to avoid the area of Embarcadero South and Howard Street due to police activity.

Officials are also asking the public to avoid the area of of Stockton Street between The Embarcadero and Beach Street due to another police activity. Officials said that emergency crews are on scene of both incidents.
