A road in Santa Cruz County in the hills above Aptos washed out early Friday morning, taking a PG&E vehicle with it, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.
The CHP said a call came in around 12:40 a.m. in the 300 block of Valencia School Road.
The road is now closed and the PG&E vehicle has not been recovered.
No injuries were reported.
PG&E said in a statement early Friday: “We understand one of our employees was involved in a vehicle accident earlier this morning in Aptos when the roadway gave way. The PG&E employee is safe, and according to CHP, the vehicle will be recovered when it’s safe to do so.”
