San Mateo County Introducing Ordinance to Fine Those Not Wearing Mask in Public

San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa is expected to introduce a new ordinance Tuesday that will authorize fining people not wearing a mask in public.

Under this ordinance, those not following public health orders could be fined from $100 to $500 depending on the number of previous infractions.

On the other hand, businesses can be fined up to $3,000 per violation.

San Mateo County is the latest Bay Area county to be added to California’s watch list.
