Redwood City police said Wednesday they are investigating an incident in which a person was shot when sitting inside a vehicle.
Just before noon on Saturday, the police department received a call from a local hospital regarding a gunshot victim that had arrived at the emergency room, according to authorities.
Officials said the 20-year-old victim, who is a Redwood resident, reports he was seated in a vehicle when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim indicated the incident happened in Redwood City, but the exact location has not been determined, according to police.
Police reports the victim was treated for a non-life threatening single gunshot wound.
