A deadly crash on the 405 Freeway Wednesday night prompted the California Highway Patrol to shut down all southbound lanes in Van Nuys.
The fatal crash was reported at 10:12 p.m. near Victory Boulevard.
A pedestrian was struck in the HOV lane on the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway.
A SigAlert was issued for the southbound 405 Freeway. CHP was diverting traffic off at Victory Boulevard.
NewsChopper4 was over the scene, showing traffic backed up for several exits.
