Traffic on the northbound 14 Freeway in Agua Dulce has been affected since Sunday evening after a tanker truck overturned on the road.
A Sigalert is still in effect as of Monday morning and at least two right lanes are blocked due to the collision.
The incident was first reported on Sunday at around 5 p.m. just north of the Agua Dulce Canyon Road off-ramp.
Fuel leaked out of the tanker, prompting freeway lanes and an on-ramp to be shut down throughout the early morning hours on Monday.
A witness told the CHP two of the vehicles involved in the collision with the tanker truck appeared to be involved in a speed contest before the impact.
No arrests were reported and it was not immediately known if there were any injuries, CHP Officer Sergio Garci told City News Service.
The CHP issued a SigAlert about 6 p.m. Sunday, shutting down the northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway and the Agua Dulce Canyon Road on-ramp to the freeway during the cleanup.
The CHP’s Garcia reported two lanes of the freeway reopened by 4:30 a.m. Monday.
