One worker was hospitalized in a collapse at a construction site Friday afternoon at the Port of Long Beach.
The collapse of the steel-frame scaffold was reported at about 2 p.m. at a fire station that is under construction. One worker was hospitalized with serious injuries after the steel beams crashed to the ground.
Another victim fell in the water, but was rescued and treated at the scene.
Details about the cause of the collapse were not immediately available.
