New transitional homes open in San Jose

A new transitional housing complex opened Monday along Cherry Avenue in San Jose.

The 135 rooms will be used to help unhoused people as they transition to full-time housing.

In addition to transitional homes, the new site also includes counseling and other services.

This is the 11th structure of its kind opened by San Jose.

Residents will begin moving in later this week.
