Man, toddler killed in crash on 5 Freeway in Anaheim

The California Highway Patrol shut down the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway after a fatal crash in Anaheim.

The crash was reported just after 7 p.m. Saturday. An SUV struck a dark colored Ford vehicle near the Magnolia Avenue off-ramp on the 5 Freeway.

Five people were inside the Ford at the time of the crash. A man and a toddler inside the Ford died as a result of the crash. The condition of the other three passengers wasn’t immediately available.

The driver of the SUV was hospitalized with major injuries.

CHP was diverting traffic to the westbound 91 after closing all lanes of the 5 Freeway.
