Long Beach hotel fined $4.8 million for failing to rehire workers laid off during COVID-19 shutdown

Hyatt Regency Long Beach failed to rehire 25 employees laid off during COVID-19 shutdowns when the jobs became available again, the California Labor Commissioner’s office said.
