L.A. workers bulldozed of endangered plants in Topanga to ease fire danger, prompting outrage

Crews for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power bulldozed hundreds of endangered plants while working on a wildfire prevention project. State authorities are now investigating, as are L.A. officials, in response to a Times inquiry.
