Immigration raids lead to canceled, postponed Fourth of July festivities

Firefighters were battling multiple flames in the Inland Empire on Sunday, some prompting road closures and evacuation orders.

At least six fires were actively burning in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The fast-moving Mandalay Fire was burning in Riverside County, prompting officials to issue evacuation orders.

The fire started around 1:45 p.m. near Tyler Street and Mandalay Court, according to Cal Fire.

Evacuation orders were issued for zones RIV-0309 and RIV-0310.

A reception center was open at La Sierra Senior Community Center at 5215 La Sierra Ave.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Evacuation orders were also issued in San Bernardino County due to the Cable Fire. The orders were in effect for Martin Ranch Road North of West Meyers. An evacuation warning was issued for south of West Meyers to Little League Drive, according to Cal Fire.
