At least one person was injured early Thursday in a freeway shooting on Interstate 680 in the East Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police were searching for suspects who shot at a car filled with concertgoers along northbound I-680 near Alamo on their way home from a show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, the CHP said. The driver was injured in the shooting and taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

The shooting, which occurred just after midnight near Stone Valley Road, is believed to be random, the CHP said.

Video from the scene shows a black Tesla riddled with bullet holes. The shooters’ vehicle maneuvered to fire at both sides of the Tesla. Two tires apprently were shot and flattened for what appears to be five shots.

After the shooting, the Tesla exited at Stone Valley and drove to safety in a neighborhood to call 911, the CHP said.

The woman driving the Tesla suffered a laceration from the bullet on the back side of her head, the CHP said. The two passengers were not hurt.

The CHP said it doesn’t have a reliable description of the suspect vehicle.
