Flash flood warning in effect for LA and San Bernardino counties

Officials issued a flash flood warning Saturday for Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, including a portion of the Bridge Fire burn scar.

Heavy rainfall is expected to drench the area with 1 to 1.5 inches of rain within one hour, according to NBC4 Meteorologist Stephanie Olmo.

Authorities are warning residents to take precautions as flash flooding is expected. The warning is in effect through 8 p.m.

Some locations that will experience flooding in Los Angeles County include Falling Springs and Angeles Crest Highway between Mount Waterman, Big Pines and the western portions of the Bridge Burn Scar.

Other areas that will experience flash flooding include Llano and Highway 138 between Llano and San Bernardino County, according to the National Weather Service.
