Two people were rescued from a fire that burned a home early Monday morning south of downtown Los Angeles.
The fire in the Central-Alameda area was in the 1400 block of East 55th Street. Two people trapped in the smoke and flames were rescued by firefighters and hospitalized.
One victim was in grave condition, according to the fire department. Details regarding the second victim’s condition were not immediately available.
Details about a cause of the fire at the one-story home were not immediately available.
