A Westmont home was left with damage after a driver in an SUV crashed into it Sunday night.

The crash was reported at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at West 110th Street and Normandie Avenue.

The driver somehow lost control and crashed through the gate of the home and slamming into one of the walls.

It was not clear why the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital to be evaluated and were in stable condition as of Monday morning.

The driver told CHP that their French Bulldog was stolen from them during the incident by someone at the scene of the crash.
