Convicted felon arrested after stolen gun found in his vehicle, Vallejo PD says

A convicted felon was arrested after officers found a stolen gun in his vehicle, which was parked in a designated accessible parking space without a valid placard in Vallejo, police said Saturday.

Officers were patrolling the area of the Fairgrounds Plaza parking lot Wednesday when they contacted a man smoking marijuana inside his Honda, which was parked in a designated accessible parking space without a valid disabled placard, according to authorities.

A records check revealed that he was on probation from Solano County, police said. According to officials, a subsequent probation search revealed a loaded stolen firearm inside the vehicle.

The man was a convicted felon, meaning that he was not allowed to have guns, officials said. Police report he was arrested and booked in connection with multiple felony charges.
