Bay Area storm problems: Flood advisory issued

An atmospheric river storm arrived in the Bay Area, bringing rain and strong winds that caused various problems.

Flood advisory issued in 4 counties

A flood advisory is in effect in four Bay Area counties. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected in San Mateo, Marin, Sonoma and Santa Cruz counties, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory runs through 8:30 a.m.

Tree down in Santa Rosa

A tree came down in front of a home in Santa Rosa, damaging a fence and other parts of the property, though it didn’t appear to hit the main house.
