An Amber Alert was issued about 10:25 p.m. Saturday for Alameda and surrounding counties for a 3-year-old who was inside a car that was stolen, Oakland police said.
The child, Ciara McCroey, was taken by an unknown suspect from Oakland in a silver 2005 Mercedes-Benz sedan with the license plate 8GIY743(CA) at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday. Ciara is 3 feet 1 inch tall, about 35 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s, and was wearing a red shirt, red beanie and black pants.
Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
