5 Westbound I-80 Exits May Potentially Close If Warriors Win NBA Title: Caltrans

At the request of the California Highway Patrol and the San Francisco Police Department, Caltrans will potentially close five freeway exits on westbound Interstate 80 in San Francisco Thursday evening should the Golden State Warriors win Game 6 versus the Boston Celtics to clinch the 2022 NBA Championship title.

A Caltrans spokesperson said Thursday evening that should the Warriors lose Game 6 — which will force a seventh and final game in the matchup with the Celtics — there will not be any exit ramp closures.

If there is a Warriors win Thursday evening, San Francisco police and the CHP have asked Caltrans to close the following exits on westbound Interstate 80:

None of the exits on eastbound Interstate 80 in San Francisco will be closed Thursday evening.

Game 6 is being played in Boston.
