Two people died and three others were wounded Tuesday night in a shooting at a child’s birthday party in Vallejo, according to police.
The shooting occurred sometime before 10 p.m. on Cynthia Avenue between Wendy and Amelia streets, police said.
Upon arrival, officers found five gunshot wound victims, four adults and one child, ranging in age from 10 to 63, police said. Two adult victims, ages 63 and 37, were pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other three victims, a man, a woman and a child, suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to recover.
The victims were at a toddler’s birthday party when a group of shooters exited a vehicle and opened fire in what was a targeted shooting, police said.
